KILLING GODS

Sydney and Herathina, two women whose seemingly unrelated lives come together over a millennium to change the fate of the universe. Take a thrilling ride across the cosmos and down the rivers of the underworld where Greek Gods are not only real, they are still pulling strings. Nothing has prepared you for the culminating clash between Gods and Titans that has raged from the dawn of time, just out of human sight.

We are not Gods. No matter what Zeus thinks.

Terra was perfect. Should have been perfect. With it, we could finally complete our evolution study of humanity. Instead, it’s all gone wrong. All because Poseidon can’t keep it in his pants. He may not care if the High Council finds out what we’ve done, but I have secrets too… Secrets they can never discover. —I have abilities, terrifying abilities, and a recurring dream. But that doesn’t scare me. That honor goes to the voice in my head. I tried to ignore him, but the louder he gets, the harder it is to appear normal. What if he’s real? Between the voice in my head and the woman in my dreams, am I losing my mind?

Dreams can come true and then become a race against a nightmare.

Hera Log Entry: Zeus’s Village, time no longer carries a meaning.

If I fight fire with fire will I become the very thing I rail against? Hunting Zeus was never part of my plan, but neither was Poseidon’s betrayal. If I find them what will it cost me? My soul — my soul I can lose, but not my children! I did this to humanity. I must make it right.

Sydney

Is the island real or am I just insane? After years of living in denial, I finally have to face the truth — If I don’t find that island, I will lose my mind and I can’t live with the doubt. I just never bargained that I would endanger my children. I thought, If I could keep it all to myself, it would keep them safe. I’m a fool and it may cost me everything.

I don’t want to start an interstellar war over a few demigods and a trip to a library, but I will.

Athena’s punishment forcing me to stay on Atlantis could never hold me, and all my plans have finally come to fruition. To outmaneuver Athena was a feat I never dreamed capable of achieving. But the ultimate cost banishment of all hybrids from Earth was a high price. Where should we go now? That’s Sydney’s problem, I did my part. ——-

Atlantis was never an island, it’s a spaceship.

The hybrids look to me to lead them, and space is a mighty large place. No one is a rock. We need allies and a planet. The lost Themian homeworld Elysium sounds like a good place to start. The Library of Alexandria is the only key, but the search may be a wild goose chase.

Odyssey is a spaceship, not a home.

Life comes with choices, fate rules them all.

Isolde

Finding Elysium was all I wanted to do. Unlocking the secrets to the underworld was not in my game plan.

Hera

The only key to finding Elysium is Pythia and her prophecy. But no matter where Sydney, Isolde, and I look fate seems to keep changing our plans.

Sydney

Once I began this journey, I knew we couldn’t turn back. The rivers in the underworld are a one-way trip. Charon doesn’t take people back to the land of the living.

Everyone thinks entering a blackhole is suicide, but that’s not what will kill you, it’s what’s on the other side.

Adrian

Oceania was nothing more than a cosmic garbage disposal, sucking up stars and chewing them apart. How could this possibly be the entrance to the Underworld? Prometheus is gone and I have no way to track her — Sydney. I said I would move heaven and earth for her and I meant it.

Hera

I sit here with my heart in my hands hoping against hope we can maneuver through this quagmire without dying. The Underworld is riddled with pitfalls the likes of which Pythia never fully explained.

Sydney

I never should have trusted Charon, being a Fate doesn’t make you all-powerful, just stupid. I have two choices curl up and die waiting for Adrian to find me or do what I do best — Fight. There is no way to leave the Underworld without crossing the plains of Judgment.

Be careful what you wish for, paradise is an illusion.

When I made the choice to find the Isle of the Blessed Elysium, it was to make an alliance and provide a home for our people. The golden light of the Elysium stars faded for me not long after I touched the surface. The stories of the Judges of the Underworld seemed no more threatening than a visit with the High Council. Only the Judges of the Underworld don’t make alliances, they rule. Now one of the Judges, Rhadamanthy, holds Hera hostage. He wants what all men want, everything and power. He’s taken Hera as leverage to get it. Rhadamanthy’s one demand — Kill Medusa or I’ll chop Hera into pieces before your eyes.

I will fight any creature to free Hera, no matter the cost.

“We are not Gods, no matter what Zeus thinks!”

Sydney and Herathina, two women whose seemingly unrelated lives come together over a millennium to change the fate of the universe. Nothing has prepared you for the culminating clash between Gods and Titans that has raged from the dawn of time, just out of human sight. The Greek Gods were never gods, and they didn’t come here to help us. None of the Gods did. When Herathina and Poseidon discovered Terra, the study of Themian evolution had come to a standstill. Terra was the prefect incubator and humanity a close cosine to Themian genetics. The high council mandate stated limited contact, not domination, but Poseidon is too blinded by his lust for that human to listen. We’re infected with humanity’s emotions. Sydney’s dreams are filled with an island of blue and a woman’s indiscernible pleas. On the back of the dreams come abilities. Abilities she’s desperate to hide. But it’s the voice in her mind that terrifies her most. Is it real or only a symptom of a bigger problem? Can you live a normal life if you aren’t? The dreams drive her to search for answers. Where is the island? Who is the voice? What does the woman want, and how do you hide the truth and still appear normal on the outside? Truth always comes with trauma. Are Herathina and Sydnye willing to face the trauma to discover the truth?

Novellas

Just because I hear voices doesn’t make me crazy, does it?

Emmaline awakened from a simple accident to find herself living not only her life, but the lives of others through their minds. Her twin brother Dewy being one of them. But when Dewy signs up to fight the Nazis in WW II, Emmaline joins him. Only to find herself in London working the night shift during the blitz. Dewy’s choice forces Emmaline to live every moment with the same fear and suffering as every man on the front. For Emmaline, it’s not just about surviving the war. Will they both be sane when it’s over? Whose voice invades Emmaline dreams, filling her mind with visions of stars and a compelling need to find the island in her dreams? If she goes there, what will she find?

I lost everything to a wall of water.

An earthquake and tsunami swept me out to sea. I landed on an island everyone believes a myth — Atlantis, and there is no escape. The Gods won’t allow you to leave, and they have the power to stop you. I have a power too, one I can’t explain, and it only grows. If I use it that might lead them to Sydney. I can’t risk the Gods finding her. My only friend and ally, Emily, keeps telling me to keep my head down and, above all, look normal. I don’t know how long I can do that. I can move things with my mind and I can’t always control it.

Apollo isn’t a fool, and I’ve caught his eye.
